About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Automation Specialist (6 month fixed contract) to support the continuous improvement of our bioreactor automation system. Joining us at a key stage in our development, you will help refine the software by delivering reliable PLC code, designing a more intuitive HMI, developing new features, and creating the technical documentation that will support our ongoing growth.

Location: Monthey, Switzerland.

Start date: as soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance the WinCC Unified HMI, integrating new features while maintaining an intuitive and visually appealing interface.

• Develop new functionalities and improvements within a Siemens PLC environment (TIA Portal).

• Provide versatile technical support, handling day-to-day automation tasks to assist our technical teams.

• Maintain rigorous code structure, aligning with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated or currently pursuing an ES or HES curriculum in Automation, Industrial IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience with the Siemens automation ecosystem (TIA Portal and WinCC Unified) and comfortable with SCL.

• Knowledge of batch control standards (ISA-88) and regulatory requirements (21 CFR Part 11) is a strong plus.

• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and able to adapt to a flexible and project-driven environment.

• Experience with bioreactors or knowledge in bioprocesses is a plus.

• French: proficient | English: technical reading and writing required
