Help us simplify the future of cell culture.
Bioscibex is a Swiss company developing SW1NGO, a single-use bioreactor designed to expand cell cultures from 30 mL to 30 L in one bag. By combining innovative hardware, integrated sensors and automation, we aim to simplify seed trains and reduce manual operations.
We are looking for a Cell Culture Application Scientist to help develop applications, demonstrate the performance of our technology and support customers in implementing SW1NGO.
Your role
You will connect laboratory experiments, product development and customer applications. Working closely with our engineering team and customers, you will:
Plan and perform mammalian cell culture experiments using SW1NGO.
Develop and optimise seed train processes, feeding strategies and culture conditions.
Evaluate culture performance using offline measurements and online sensors, including pH, dissolved oxygen and capacitance.
Analyse experimental data and prepare clear reports, application notes and technical presentations.
Support customer demonstrations, pilot studies, training and troubleshooting, both remotely and on site.
Translate experimental findings and customer feedback into improvements to our equipment, consumables and software.
Develop practical protocols and contribute to application and qualification documentation.
Maintain reliable experimental records and support day-to-day laboratory activities.
Your profile
A degree in biotechnology, bioengineering, biology or a related discipline.
Proven hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, ideally including CHO cells.
Experience operating bioreactors and analysing cell culture data.
A practical approach to troubleshooting and a strong commitment to reproducible experiments.
The ability to work independently, organise experiments and communicate results clearly.
An interest in working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts.
Strong English communication skills; French is an advantage.
Willingness to travel to customer sites for 50% of working time.
Experience with single-use bioreactors, seed train development, perfusion, process analytical technologies or GMP environments would be an advantage.
What you can expect
A hands-on role in a small, multidisciplinary biotech team.
The opportunity to influence the development and application of SW1NGO.
Close collaboration with engineers and cell culture specialists.
Direct exposure to customer projects and real bioprocessing challenges.
The opportunity to see your experimental work translate into practical improvements.
